Frisk makes people part of the team

Thank you for your generous tribute to Bob Frisk (celebrating 50 years in the Daily Herald sports department). It was such a pleasure to read.

I would like to add my compliments to this nice (and talented) guy.

In the '60s and '70s, I wrote, part-time, features for the then Suburban Living.

Bob is right, no computers in those days. So, at times I delivered my copy to Pat Adam, Suburban Living editor.

One nearby sports staff member I remember in those brief encounters is Bob Frisk.

His warmth and friendliness in an atmosphere of brisk competitiveness was rare.

He had no way of knowing, but he made me feel part of "the team," not a part-timer.

Thanks, Bob!
