Gina M. Corrado of Schaumburg, a 2004 graduate of Conant High School, has upon the completion of the spring 2008 semester. earned a bachelor of science degree, magna cum laude, from Marquette University, Milwaukee, Wis. This coincided with the completion of her first year of dental school at Marquette. She is on schedule to receive a doctor of dental surgery degree in 2011.
Jennifer Johnson of Palatine, a Valparaiso University student, was inducted into Phi Alpha Theta, an international honor society in history. The mission of Phi Alpha Theta is to promote the study of history through the encouragement of research, good teaching, publication and the exchange of learning and ideas among historians. Johnson is a junior history major. She attends St Peter Lutheran Church in Arlington Heights and is the daughter of Craig and Karin Johnson.
Nicholas R. Marks of Barrington, son of Randall and Mary Marks of Barrington, graduated May 18 with a bachelor of arts degree in history and classics from Bucknell University, Lewisburg, Pa.
Tim Martin of Schaumburg was named a First Year Experience Mentor at Millikin University, Decatur, Ill. Martin, a theater major, will assist new first year students with the personal adjustments to college life and help them establish appropriate study habits.
Schaumburg native Stephanie E. Olsen received a master of arts degree in mission and world Christianly from Luther Seminary on May 25 at Central Lutheran Church in Minneapolis, Minn. Olsen is a 2001 graduate of James B. Conant High School and a2005 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-River Falls.
Kelly A. Paice of Barrington was named to the dean's list at Boston University for the spring semester.
Christina E. Savino of Barrington, daughter of Anthony and Patrice Savino of Barrington, graduated cum laude with a bachelor of arts degree in English from Bucknell University, Lewisburg, Pa., on May 18. Savino is a Barrington High School graduate.
Brittany Vibbert of Hoffman Estates was named to the dean's list at the Savannah College of Art and Design, Savannah, Ga., for the spring quarter 2008. Vibbert is a graphics design major.
David Michael Whitfield Jr., son of David and Mary Whitfield of Palatine, was placed on the dean's list for the spring semester 2008, at Illinois Wesleyan University, where he has just completed his sophomore year.
Justin D. Wolf of Bartlett, son of Ronald and Patsy Wolf, graduated with a bachelor of science degree, cum laude, in business administration management from Bucknell University, Lewisburg, Pa., on May 18. He is a 2004 graduate of Bartlett High School.
