Echoes of 1952 presidential race

In some respects, but on a lesser scale, the forthcoming presidential election will be a re-run of the 1952 election, which was Adlai Stevenson versus Dwight Eisenhower.

Basically, an eloquent empty suit challenging a proven warrior.

For what it is worth, I voted for Stevenson.
