Huntley cops carry books
The next time you take a ride in the back of a Huntley squad car, you'll have plenty of reading material. Huntley police will start carrying children's books in the back of every squad. Police plan to use the books to help children deal with traumatic situations. The Wisconsin-based, nonprofit organization With Wings and a Halo will donate the books to Huntley at no cost to the village. The nonprofit has donated more than 60,000 children's books through its R.E.A.C.H. a Child program since 2007.
