Thank you to flower planters

The Elburn Chamber of Commerce Community Outreach Committee would like to thank the volunteers that assisted with the plantings throughout downtown Elburn on May 17. With their help, the Committee was able to plant flowers throughout the downtown area as well as trim growth from the trees housed in the planters.

Special thanks to Deborah Sartorius of The Vibrant Garden for her design expertise and Wasco Nursery for providing the plants at a discount. Many of our local businesses have adopted a pot for which to care this year including American Bank & Trust Company; Capes & Sons, Inc.; Elburn Countryside Community Center; Express Evaluations; Fleck & Uhlich, Ltd.; Joe Fleming of J.B. Filbert Insurance; Michael J. Greenen, CPA; The National Bank & Trust Company; as well as the families of Jenny Contorno, Lora Garceau, and Mike & Pat Schaefer of Elburn.

If you or your organization would like to get involved, please contact Community Outreach Committee Chair Dr. Erika Mennerick of Trillium Health & Wellness, S.C., at (630) 365-5820. We are still in need of a larger water tank that can be used to water the tree planters.
