Candidate who cares about the economy

Gas prices have spiraled out of control with no end in sight. This has led to increased prices on everything. And loss of jobs. The rich can weather these storms but many people cannot and cannot look to this White House or Rep. Biggert for help. In the past seven years a budget surplus has been turned into a budget deficit that our children's children will still be paying off.

People are nervous about their futures and many are facing real hardships right now because Ms. Biggert has voted straight party line with President Bush's failed and destructive economic policies.

Now, Scott Harper, Democrat, is running for Congress in District 13 to unseat Ms. Biggert.

Harper is a businessman who grew up locally.

I met Scott Harper at a local house party. He spoke with conviction about balancing the budget and fiscal responsibility. He spoke about the effect of global market fluctuations on Americans. He showed that he understood the needs of the hardworking middle class who need jobs and affordable energy. He understands that people are looking for leadership.

In November I urge people to vote for Democrat Scott Harper for Congress to help turn around this economy and nation!
