Election process needs big changes

I'm reading in your paper that Iowa had their primary on Jan 3.

Yet Michigan and Florida, which also held primaries in January are not able to receive full delegate votes at the convention.

Why is this? Illinois moved up its primary also, no problem. Is each state told when it can have its primaries?

Campaigning could all be done by television with stations requiring to give a certain amount of air time to each candidate, to say what he wants to accomplish, not just that he has a plan for change.

We have many qualified politicians who can't run or drop out because they don't have millions to spend.

The campaign process needs a major overhaul..

I've got an idea, get rid of the stupid or rather superdelegates, regular delegates, and count the popular vote alone.

Primaries should not be allowed to drag on for five or six months. This is totally ridiculous.

And just think, if we went by popular vote alone, there would be no need for these costly conventions. Spend that money to take care of our vets or destitute families.

Lets try not to make the citizens sick and tired of hearing, seeing and being bombarded with canned phone messages, a multitude of flyers and door-to-door visits being made by several groups working for the same candidate.

It could almost make you decide to just chuck it, and not vote for any one of them.
