Bicyclist injured in Cary crash

A Friday afternoon crash between a bicycle and a SUV sent a 48-year-old woman to the hospital, police said. Around 2:30 p.m. Cary police resonded to an accident on Northwest Highway at the entrance to Park Plaza. Police said bicyclist Angelica Leon, 48, of Cary was traveling east on the sidewalk area along Northwest Highway when she collided with a 2004 Dodge Durango. She was transported to Good Shepherd Hospital near Lake Barrington. Her condition was not available as of Friday night. The accident is still under investigation, police said.
