Metra train kills pedestrian in Wheaton
A Metra train struck and killed a man about 6:45 a.m. Friday in Wheaton.
Police say the man intentionally stepped in front of the westbound train near the train crossing at Liberty and Front streets.
Union Pacific West Line Train Number 13 was headed out to Elburn when it apparently hit the man, who was on the platform.
The investigation resulted in a short delay of train traffic, but all train routes through Wheaton are back in service.
