Urlacher skips voluntary workouts again
After boycotting the Bears' voluntary offseason workouts to get a more lucrative renegotiation of his $56.6 million contract that has four years left, Brian Urlacher attended last weekend's mandatory minicamp.
And when asked if he would continue working out with the team when voluntary sessions resumed, he was noncommittal.
"Not sure," he said. "Possibly. Maybe. Yes. No. Pick any one of those answers you want."
The correct answer: "No."
Urlacher was a no-show at Wednesday's voluntary practice.
During the minicamp, coach Lovie Smith said it was "very important" to have everyone at off-season workouts.
"We need out entire football team here," Smith said. "There is a lot of work we need to get done. We're a long ways away. We have a lot of work to do before we play the Colts (in the regular-season opener)."
