How could Clinton fans vote McCain?
It seems so basic a concept that the ideology of the Democratic and Republican parties are diametrically opposed in about 25 percent of their basic, core tenants that even the "lesser of two evils" cannot get you from one to the other.
When looking at the proposals of both Obama and Clinton, there was relatively little difference in their goals; just generally minor differences in their approaches towards achieving those goals.
So when I hear Clinton supporters emphatically proclaim that they will now vote for McCain rather than Obama (because Clinton did not win), it makes me wonder whether they have a deeper, more primordial reason for wanting to abandon the candidate of the party that supports the less fortunate for the candidate of the party of those with fortunes.
If McCain is now acceptable to you, why was Clinton ever acceptable?
McCain and Clinton's only point of convergence was Iraq and 70 percent of Americans are now painfully aware of that mistake.
