Bears' Harris to tackle long-drive contest

Chicago Bears defensive tackle Tommie Harris will kick off a campaign in Chicago to benefit Tiger Woods Foundation with a longest drive contest dubbed the "Moonshot Challenge"

Taking a cue from the Gatorade's ad campaign featuring Tiger Woods hitting a golf ball from the moon, Gatorade is offering Chicago-area residents the chance to demonstrate their long-drive skills on May 29 in a golf simulator designed to look like the moon. The man and woman with the longest drive will be flown to New York City for the chance to participate in the Moonshot Challenge grand prize event on June 11.

The male and female champions of the New York event will each be able to create their own "out of this world" vacation experience worth up to $125,000.

Harris will make an appearance from 10:30-11:30 a.m. on May 29 and set the stage by hitting a drive in the simulator. The Chicago event runs from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Pioneer Court, 401 N. Michigan Ave., Chicago, with registration at 10:30 a.m.
