From the Armed Forces

• Air Force Airman 1st Class Sean N. Barel has arrived for duty at Cannon Air Force Base, Clovis, N.M. Barel, an aviation resource management apprentice, is assigned to the 27th Special Operations Support Squadron. He is the son of Frank and Elizabeth M. Barel of Schaumburg. In 2007, the airman graduated from Schaumburg High School.

• Air Force Airman 1st Class Brady T. Nicholls has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio. He is the son of Dick and Sally Nicholls of Port Barrington.

• Navy Seaman Nicholas D. Robins, son of Monica A. and Micheal H. Robins of Schaumburg, completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes. Robins is a 2005 graduate of Hoffman Estates High School, Hoffman Estates.

• Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Molly H. Stearns graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio. She is the daughter of Catharine C. and Ronald Chappe of Rolling Meadows and a 1990 graduate of William Fremd High School, Palatine.
