Woodridge grocery store robbed

Three men robbed a grocery store Saturday night in Woodridge.

The three, who were wearing black hooded sweatshirts and bandanas that covered their faces, robbed Los Arcos Super Mercado, at 7451 Woodward Ave., about 8:30 p.m., Woodridge Police Sgt. Chris Marema said.

They made the employees lock the front door and turn off the lights, then herded them into a back room. The employees were bound hand and foot with duct tape. They hit a stockboy in the back of the head with a chrome-plated revolver, police said. He suffered a cut and was taken to Edward Hospital in Naperville for treatment.

The men took an undisclosed amount of money, and left through the back door of the store, police said.
