U.S. drugs have foreign ingredients
Listening to the news on ABC, there was a segment presented about the tragic situation of the drug Heparin manufactured by Baxter Laboratories with ingredients provided from China.
One of the pertinent items gleaned from the story was 80 percent of all drugs manufactured in America utilize ingredients from overseas.
Now, I ask you -- is it not ironic that our own FDA, which is in charge of ensuring the safety of our drugs, and our congressmen, who helped pass the drug bill, stipulated that seniors and others of us who desired to do so, could not purchase our drugs from Canada because they might not be safe? That they had no control over the drugs being imported from outside the country and, therefore, were unable to guarantee their safety.
If the Heparin calamity does not put the lie to all that expostulating by the administration and its cohorts in the drug industry, what would?
Let's see, is anyone interested in buying a bridge? I've got one to sell.
This lie almost ranks up there with that other great lie about weapons of mass destruction.
What sad jokes on the American people.
