Pasta dinner

O'Malley's Bar & Grill at 701 Hill Avenue in Aurora is hosting a mostaccioli dinner today from 6-8 p.m. to benefit the Association for Individual Development. Tickets are $6 for adults and $3 for kids 10 and under. All proceeds from the event will go toward activities for adults with developmental disabilities. Call Mary Ann at (630) 966-4252.

Library raffle

The Friends of the Town and Country Public Library, 320 E. North St., Elburn, will have a Red/White/Blue Basket Raffle through May 24. All items are donated by Vicki McGuire from Elburn and the Friends of the Library.

Items included are six red, white and blue American flag dishware plates, large mugs and bowls, garden American flag, large crocheted flag blanket, all-American tablecloth, Precious Moments Uncle Sam soft doll and selected books.

Tickets are $1 each or six for $5 and are available at the circulation desk at the library.

The drawing will be held at noon May 24 at the library. All proceeds benefit the library. The Friends are a nonprofit organization. For information, call (630) 365-2244.

Heritage Center raffle

The St. Charles Heritage Center is selling raffle tickets for a chance to win a handmade quilt featuring 54 historic images taken from the St. Charles History Museum photograph collection. Some of the photographs include the Hotel Baker and Arcada Theatre, Blue Goose Grocery Store, Baker Community Center and many more scenes of St. Charles. The quilt is on display at the St. Charles History Museum.

The quilt was handmade by Joanne VanBogaert, a volunteer and member of the Heritage Center to honor the 75th anniversary of the History Museum.

Tickets are $2 each or three for $5 and can be purchased at the History Museum, 215 E. Main St. Tickets will be sold until May 17 with the drawing May 18. The winner will be notified by telephone.

The Heritage Center operates two historic sites, the History Museum and Gift Shop at 215 E Main St. and the Dunham-Hunt House at 304 E. Cedar Ave. The History Museum and Gift Shop are open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday. Garden Party

Tickets are being sold for the Fox Valley Volunteer Hospice's Garden Party May 27 at the Q Center in St. Charles. It will include a silent auction, themed basket raffle, a performance by entertainers David & Dania and luncheon. Tickets are $60 each. Call (630) 232-2233 to purchase tickets with a credit card over the phone or visit the FVVH office at 200 Whitfield Drive in Geneva to purchase tickets with cash or check.

Raffle tickets for themed baskets are available at the cost of one for $5, 10 for $40 and 30 for $100. Those interested may purchase tickets at the FVVH office or download the raffle ticket order form at www.FVVH.org. Winners need not be present at the event to win.

Community Chest events

The Geneva Community Chest has a goal this year of raising more than $160,000 for distribution to social service agencies that provide help to residents.
