Alzheimer's support group meets
The Alzheimer's Association Support Group, sponsored by the Barrington Area Council on Aging, will meet from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday in the Eastlake Dining Room at the Garlands of Barrington, 1000 Garlands Lane. Various presenters will discuss the pros and cons of different options in home health care.

Dog walk/run helps Buddy Foundation
The Palatine Jaycees will host the third annual K9-3K Dog Walk/Run at 10 a.m. May 18th at the Twin Lakes Recreational Center in Palatine.
The fundraiser benefits Arlington Heights-based Buddy Foundation, an all-volunteer organization building a no-kill shelter.

Job Fair and Expo in Streamwood
Hanover Township Youth and Family Services, along with the Bartlett Chamber of Commerce, Hanover Park Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Streamwood Chamber of Commerce, will hold a Job Fair and Expo from 5-8 p.m. May 21 at Tefft Middle School, 1100 Shirley Ave., Streamwood.
