Shame on women who reject Clinton

First it was Barbara Walters who was forced out by one of the "good ol' boys." Now it's Katie Couric and Hillary Clinton.

Like the world for tens of thousands of years, since Eve was created from Adam's "rib," women still are second and this election will, once again, be one "good ol' boy" against another.

The young women who support Obama haven't had to struggle for their equal opportunities because Walters, Couric, Clinton and we "senior" women did it for them. Shame on those young women for not recognizing that work and honoring Clinton for her efforts over the past 30 years - while they were still wet behind the ears.

I've heard comments like "I want a woman president, but not Hillary," and "She's too strident" (or substitute any other negative adjective). The latter was the same comment made 30-plus years ago to describe any woman who showed the strong attributes needed for them/us to succeed "in the men's world." There used to be a list of negative adjectives that described those "uppity" women and the parallel positive adjectives used to describe an "ambitious" man.

We fought the battle and we still are. Too bad the young women don't appreciate what we gave them!

This is another "senior woman", a Hillary supporter who will not vote for Obama. Without the women's vote, he'll lose. The remaining superdelegates need to recognize that!
