Eminent domain is being abused

I applaud Rosette Marturana's letter, "Leaders have no regard for history." I would like to add: If any of our leaders owned property with a viable business operating on it for many years, would they look at eminent domain differently? To take away land for roadways or schools is one thing -- but for upscale restaurants is outrageous and a grievous extension of power given to our elected.
