Learn about issues from Tenth Dems
Tenth Dems University is sponsoring a Let's Talk Politics gathering at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Panera Bread, 5 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights.
"Tenth Dems U" is a series of classes designed to teach potential candidates, campaign volunteers and interested voters about the issues facing our community.

PHS show choirs perform this week
Prospect High School's two show choirs will present a full concert of solos, duets and group performances at 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, in the school theater, 801 W. Kensington Road, Mount Prospect. An additional matinee performance will be at 2 p.m. Saturday.
The show features such songs as "The Final Countdown" and the James Bond "007" theme. The Celebration Singers from Lincoln Junior High School will also perform Saturday.
Tickets are $10 and available in the PHS Commons from 10:20 a.m. and 1 p.m. Call (847) 718-5370.
Hersey, German orchestras perform
The Youth Orchestra from the Musikschule in Filderstadt, Germany, is visiting John Hersey High School this week in an exchange program. The Hersey Orchestra and the German Youth Orchestra will perform in a combined concert at 7:30 p.m. today in Hersey's theater, 1900 E. Thomas St., Arlington Heights. Admission is free. (847) 718-4800.
