No injuries in Crystal Lake school bus crash

No one was injured when a Crystal Lake Elementary District 47 school bus carrying 40 students collided with a car in Lakewood this morning.

The bus driver was ticketed for improper backing, Lakewood Police Chief Larry Howell said.

"She had turned down Meridian and realized there was construction and backed onto Lake Street," Howell said.

The bus then collided with a vehicle driven by a Crystal Lake man who was traveling along Lake Street.
