District 158 doing good job

District 158 has received an award from the Illinois State Board of Education for its sound financial planning! With so many false and negative accusations that have been started by a disgruntled minority, I feel it is time to recognize the true positive actions of our district's leadership.

Our school district is doing so well in their financial management that they've been publicly recognized by the Illinois State Board of Education in the highest category for commitment to financial excellence during the 2007 fiscal year as well as for their financial profile for 2008. That is certainly a confirmation that they're doing things right.

Let's support the board and administration as they strive to continually carry out their goal of "inspire, challenge and empower" to our children, our future, in the coming years. Congratulations! Keep up the positive work!
