Chilly Willy Pool Passes: Cary Park District residents who purchase their 2008 Chilly Willy Pool Pass by May 1 will receive up to 10 percent off the regular summer pool pass rate. Passes are available for students, adults, seniors, and families. Passes can be purchased at the Cary Park District Community Center located at 255 Briargate Road, Cary. Starting May 1, passes will be available for purchase to residents and nonresidents at the regular summer rate.

For youth, teens

Sunshine Camp: Your child will have a "sun-sational" first camp experience at Sunshine Camp. Children will enjoy weekly themes, arts and crafts, music, water fun and meeting new friends during this summer adventure together. Camp is for children age 3 to 5 and meets from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Cary Park District Preschool in Lions Park. Each camp session meets for one week June 9 to Aug. 1. Camp Wannalottafun: Children will wannalottafun participating in a wide variety of activities including arts and crafts, group games, sports, individual games, special events, field trips, swimming and more all surrounding a weekly theme. Camp is for children entering first through third grades in the fall and meets from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Briargate School. Each camp session meets for one week June 9 to July 25. Camp Explorers: Explore new ways to have a fun and exciting summer. This camp will incorporate activity stations, group and individual games, special events, field trips, swimming and more. Camp is for children entering fourth through eighth grades this fall and meets from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Maplewood School. Each camp session meets for one week June 9 to July 25. Crafty Campers Club: Campers will express their unique selves by working with clay, wood, plaster of paris, paper mache and craft kits to make beautiful works of art. Each session includes two field trips and swimming. Camp for children in third through sixth grades meets from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 16-20 at the Community Center. Camp for teens in seventh through 10th grades meets from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 23- 27 at the Community Center. Registration is $93 for residents and $140 for nonresidents. Sports Plus Camp: This camp is filled with sports, fun and field trips. Activities will include playing sports, learning new techniques, developing good sportsmanship, teamwork, and more. Camp is for children in third through fifth grades. Session one meets from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 7-11. Session two meets from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 14-18. Both sessions meet at Lions Park. Super Sports Mania Camp: Learn the fundamentals, terminology and rules of several different sports, participate in scrimmages, develop teamwork and good sportsmanship and make friends. Drop off and pick-up locations will change daily. Camp is for children in fourth through seventh grades meets from 9:30 to 2:30 p.m. June 23-27. Kickball Camp: Play outside, exercise, make friends, build teamwork, practice good sportsmanship and have fun. This non-competitive camp is open to both boys and girls in third through sixth grades. Session one meets from 9:30 a.m. to noon June 23-26; Session two meets from 1 to 3:30 p.m. June 23-26. All sessions meet at Lions Park. Cooking Club: Children will become more helpful and confident in the kitchen by learning measuring techniques, cleanliness, etiquette, and clean up strategies. Each day will feature a new theme and on Friday children will host a party for their family. Camp is for children in first through fourth grades and meets at the Kraus Senior Center. Session one meets from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. July 7-11; Session two meets from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.; Session three meets 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. July 14-18. Registration is $78 for residents and $114 for nonresidents.

Mother's Day Present: Show Mom just how much you care by creating a "plate of promises" for her special day. She will love this homemade present made from the heart.

Class is for children ages 6 to 10 and meets from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. May 9 at the Community Center. Registration is $10 for residents and $15 for nonresidents.

For adults

Family Nutrition: Childhood obesity is fast becoming a large health issue. Now is the time to teach healthy habits.

This workshop will cover basic nutrition for children, how to transition to new foods and healthy snacking. Samples will be provided.

Class is for adults and meets from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. on May 8 at the Community Center. Registration is $8 for residents and $12 for nonresidents.
