Insulting depiction of Pope Benedict

I fail to understand the rather base depiction of Pope Benedict XVI in the editorial page cartoon on April 19.

His visit expanded far beyond Washington and he was received by many in a solemn, genuine manner.

I'm sure you would not depict Dr. King, the Dalai Lama, Gandhi, etc. in such an insulting manner.
