Shooting of cougar was outrageous
I am extremely outraged by the fact that the heroic officers of the police force found it necessary to kill the cougar.
If these fine upstanding police officers felt threatened, how do they think this cougar felt?
A normal house cat will attack if it is backed into a corner. Why wouldn't this oversized cat?
This animal was looking for a way out, not so much wanting to hurt anyone.
I find it strange that no other more humane ways were used to go about trapping this animal.
How about live traps, snares, drugged food, tranquilizer guns, zoo officials, anything other than killing this poor animal?
No one knows where he came from or thought about how frighten this animal may have been or that he had no where to go.
I'm sorry that poor little Muffy or Missy may be prey. It is called survival of the fittest.
Here's a great idea: How about educating people about the animals of the wild and why they should not feed the cute little squirrels and raccoons and then why they should not complain when they become the victims of a run by wild animals.
