Bears sign WR Davis to three-year deal

The Chicago Bears signed wide receiver Rashied Davis to a three-year contract today.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Davis has collected 39 receptions for 468 yards and two touchdowns the last two seasons for the Bears after spending his first season in Chicago (2005) as a reserve cornerback and return man.

The San Jose State product has appeared in 44 career NFL contests and has 1,172 yards on 55 kickoff returns and 31 yards on five punt returns.

Davis ranked fifth on the Bears in 2007 with 11 special teams tackles and has 29 in his three-year career. Originally Davis came to Chicago as an unrestricted free agent in 2005 after spending four years in the Arena Football League.
