Students awarded for project designs
Each year, Northern Kane County Education for Employment in partnership with DLA Architects Ltd., provides an opportunity for students to design a project that could be built in the community.
This year the students competed in designing an "Art and Coffee Center." Upon completion, the students presented their design to a panel of architects and project managers who select the winning entries. Winners include:
• Streamwood High School
Wired: Coffee and Art. First place, Korby Rome and Ryan Garlish.
Fuel, Coffee and Art, fourth place, Ryan Kulesza and Chris Coletta.
• Larkin High School
Mocha Lisa, second place, Matt Lind.
Felix, fifth place, Nick Miller.
