Amcore Bank announced that Andrew Degman, assistant branch manager, was promoted to branch manager, responsible for overseeing the sales and service of the Schaumburg branch.

Bill Garlough of My Chef Catering, Naperville, was elected to the board of directors of the United States Chamber of Commerce, a business federation representing more than 3 million businesses, hundreds of associations, thousands of local chambers and more than 100 American chambers of commerce in 91 countries.

Baird Private Wealth Management named Frank Moroni, senior vice president, as Chicago area market manager. Moroni will help clients identify and achieve their financial goals and oversee Baird's Chicago, Lake Forest and Winnetka offices. Additionally, Doug Schmidt of Northfield was named senior vice president and financial adviser at Baird's Chicago and Winnetka offices. He has more than 25 years of industry experience and previously served with William Blair & Co.

Naperville resident Jim Tobolski joined Experian Research Services, Schaumburg, as senior vice president, sales agency group. Tobolski previously served as vice president of sales for Arbitron's advertiser agency services division.

The Cook County Democratic Party appointed Kathleen Sances as the new Wheeling Township Democratic Committeeman.

Painting in Partnership Inc., Palatine, won first place in the 2008 Top Job Awards, sponsored by American Painting Contractor magazine.

Chris Tatkowski of KMI in Arlington Heights was awarded a certificate of achievement for completing a seminar for the sales professional conducted by Spartan Chemical Co. in Maumee, Ohio.

James A. Campanella of Fresh Start Financial Services Inc., Rolling Meadows, earned the lending integrity seal of approval from the National Association of Mortgage Brokers.

The public accounting and consulting firm Crowe Chizek and Co. appointed the following individuals in its Chicago office: Janice Gray, senior staff, enterprise solutions; and Dan O'Malley, staff, assurance and financial advisory. Appointed in the Oak Brook office were: Raven Cox, staff, risk consulting; Nikhil Fafat, staff, performance; Daniel Gaffney, executive, risk consulting; Millicent Holmes, senior manager, tax; Michael Jans, staff, enterprise solution; and Joseph Nketia, senior staff, assurance and financial advisory.

Van Ru Credit Corp., Des Plaines, promoted Roni Teson to chief marketing officer responsible for key client acquisitions. Teson, a 17-year industry veteran, previously served as head of the sales and marketing department.

Torqeedo, a manufacturer of high-tech electric outboards, appointed Steven Trkla president of its United States office based in Hawthorn Woods. Trkla previously served as national sales manager.

The Chicago Blackhawks hired Chris Werner as senior executive director, ticket and business development. Werner previously served as senior general manager with Ticketmaster Chicago. Additionally, Annie Camins was hired as director of youth hockey. Camins was the head girl's hockey coach at Loyola Academy, Chicago.

Lisa K. Scoville of Hampshire joined the Association of Bridal Consultants. Scoville operates Millrose Restaurant in South Barrington.

Andrea Andrada, a freshman at Elgin Community College, was elected a student member of the Elgin Community College District 509 board of trustees. She is a political science and pre-law major.

With 20 years of banking experience, Roger S. Teeling was appointed senior vice president of commercial banking for the new Naperville branch of Leaders Bank. Teeling becomes responsible for developing and managing commercial banking relationships with privately-held business, entrepreneurs and high-net worth individuals.

Citizens Financial Bank appointed William Jochum, small business sales manager and regional manager for the Illinois banking centers, as a vice president. Jochum previously served with LaSalle Bank as a first vice president and division manager of retail banking.

Hal F. Rosenbluth, president of Deerfield-based Walgreen's health and wellness division, was named a corporate vice president. Rosenbluth is the co-founder and chairman of Take Care Health Systems, a wholly owned subsidiary acquired by Walgreen in 2007. Walgreen also promoted Rick J. Hans from director of finance to divisional vice president of investor relations and finance. Hans is also an assistant treasurer for Walgreen and a chartered financial analyst.

Bart T. Murphy and Eric L. Singer, both attorneys with Ice Miller LLP, were named 2008 Illinois Super Lawyers by Law & Politics, a legal trade journal.

Jordan J. Layer, a financial planner with Oak Brook-based Pinnacle Planning Group, attained membership in the Million Dollar Round Table.

Steve Sera of Des Plaines joined Des Plaines Office Equipment, Elk Grove Village, as a sales consultant. Sera, a recent graduate of Purdue University, is responsible for generating new business and bringing document technology systems solutions to clients in DuPage County.

Renee C. Dulkin, president of RD Worldwide Communications, was inducted into the National Association of Professional and Executive Women's "Women of Excellence" registry, acknowledging her success and professional achievements.
