Navistar wins $261 million bid
WARRENVILLE --Navistar Defense won a contract valued at more than $261 million from the U.S. Marines for engineering upgrades to the armor used on International MaxxPro vehicles, or mine resistant ambush protected vehicles. Under the new contract, armor protection on MaxxPro vehicles will be increased. Such vehicles are designed to protect troops from roadside bombs. To date, the military has ordered 5,214 total production MaxxPro vehicles, the Warrenville firm said.
