Fire damages Addison townhouse
A Friday night fire has temporarily displaced the residents of an Addison townhouse.
No one was injured in the fire that was confined to the living room of one unit of a four-unit townhouse building at 632 S. Iowa St., Addison fire Capt. Roy Charvat said.
The residents returned home at 8:09 p.m. Friday to find the fire in progress and called 911. Residents of the building's other three units were evacuated while firefighters battled the blaze, but they were able to return shortly afterward, Charvat said.
It took about 10 minutes for the blaze to be brought under control.
Information about the cause of the fire wasn't available Saturday. However, investigators believe it was an accident, Charvat said.
Damage is estimated at $25,000.
