Lincolnshire Place full of nice surprises
There are many elements of a condominium community that you know, from the very start, you will see; they are part and parcel of the condominium lifestyle. Other details you hope to see, such as luxury amenities. And there are some that take you by surprise -- no easy feat among condominiums.
"For example, nobody expects to see townhouse-style private entries in a multistory condominium building, but they can find them at our latest community, Lincolnshire Place on the Village Green," noted Helen Weiss, vice president of Weiss Development Corp. "Several of our first-floor residences were specially designed to reorient one entry door to an outdoor front porch."
In all, Lincolnshire Place has 62 residences within its single four-story building and boasts seven two- and three-bedroom floor plans, ranging from 1,784 to 3,200 square feet with up to 400 square feet of additional balcony or deck space. Prices range from $418,900 to $923,500 (prices and availability are subject to change without notice).
The community is situated in Lincolnshire's exciting, evolving downtown district. Construction is under way, and the first residents are scheduled to take occupancy in midsummer through late fall of this year.
For the other residents and guests, Lincolnshire Place also goes beyond the norm and features not one but two separate vestibule entrances, each with its own elegantly furnished lobby, and three elevators, as well as a Resident's Club Room with a hospitality kitchen, large-screen television and surround sound. Other building amenities include closed-circuit security access, a fitness room, bicycle room, individual storage lockers, and 114 spaces in the heated indoor parking garage.
Another unexpected detail is one open to all residents -- an Infinity Terrace, a new feature in Weiss' communities. It is set adjacent to both the exercise area and the Resident's Club Room. This terrace environment offers residents an infinity-edge reflecting pool -- a surprising addition to the setting found in most condominiums -- as well as an outdoor fireplace (for milder evenings), a large professional-grade grill, and a southeastern view of ponds, wetlands and woods.
The building was designed in a sophisticated "uptown" architectural style by Myefski Cook Architects of Glencoe.
Weiss Development, now in its second generation, is a pioneering Chicago-area developer. The company is also currently offering condominiums at River's Edge on the Vernon Hills/Lincolnshire border. Past accomplishments in the area include Village Green Condominiums, Hidden Lakes Condominiums, and the final condominium community in the Rivershire neighborhood, all in Lincolnshire.
The sales center for Lincolnshire Place is at its sister community, River's Edge Condominiums, set on the east side of Milwaukee Avenue, 1½ blocks north of Route 22; enter on Benjamin Drive. Office hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. For additional information, call (847) 821-8080 and visit the company's Web site at www.LincolnshirePlace.com.
