Always taking more for failed programs
I read with interest the comment in today's article saying that supporters of a bill to tax people with incomes over $250,000 at a higher rate would get voter support.
Democrat Mike Smith said, "I'm not sure who would campaign against this."
Well, here I am! Before you slay and gut people you're jealous of, think about this:
1. People making over $250,000 are already paying more taxes than the rest of us.
2. Why would you penalize people for being successful? Maybe we should just all make the same money and wear Mao jackets.
3. Everything else the state has tried, from highway tolls to the lottery, was supposed to fix everything.
What makes you think that taking income away from someone in a higher earning range, and who therefore probably spends more in the state, is going to help Illinois?
Get ready for more of this twisted thinking if a Democrat becomes president.
They're always wanting to take money away from the "rich" so they can use it to promote programs that don't work.
I don't notice it making much of a dent in any of their bank accounts, however.
It always amazes me that Democrats with a lot of money are after someone else's.
Oh, and, no, I'm not in that upper income bracket. I'd be even angrier if I was.
