Local 'Survivor' still in the running
Jason Siska of Fox River Grove put on a tremendous display of athleticism on "Survivor: Micronesia" last night.
Siska, 22, the lone suburban Chicago contestant remaining, ran an obstacle course of floating platforms four times to almost single-handedly win a challenge for his team, the Airai.
The victory gave them not only immunity for the night, but a pizza and beer party, too.
The Malakal tribe, which lost the challenge, voted to send a tearful Ami home.
Despite Siska's MVP performance in the challenge, he still worries he could be vulnerable. At one point in this show he caught and killed a rat running through the camp. However, some of the two-legged variety might still be around to vex him in the future.
