Mizkan buys food and services firm

MOUNT PROSPECT -- Condiment manufacturer Mizkan Americas Inc. announced on Thursday it purchased the gourmet and specialty division of Imperial Brands Inc. With offices and plants in Florida and Kentucky, the buyout builds on Mizkan Group's expansion of its retail branded, food ingredients and food services businesses. The Des Plaines company is the North American headquarters of Mizkan Group, based in Handa City, Japan.
