USRobotics offers new modem

SCHAUMBURG -- USRobotics, a provider of Internet access and networking products, introduced a 56K USB modem, model 5637, for consumer and mobile business applications. It's available via retail and online electronics distribution sources. The new modem provides speed and simplicity as well as broad compatibility with operating systems such as Macintosh, Linux and Windows, the company said. The modem is $49.99 at nationwide retail chains.
