Woman arraigned in courthouse threat

An Addison woman pleaded innocent Monday to charges she threatened to blow up the DuPage County courthouse after being called for jury duty.

Toby Owhoka, 48, was arraigned on felony disorderly conduct charges.

Prosecutors allege she called the jury commission March 4 and made several threats, including one to blow up the courthouse.

Deputies searched the Wheaton facility, but no explosives were found.

Owhoka was arrested at her home at 904 College Blvd. in Addison.

Owhoka is being held in the DuPage County jail on $50,000 bail.

She is due back in court this morning, where the defendant will ask DuPage Circuit Judge Kathryn Creswell for a bond reduction.
