Kitchens get weekend spotlight at Sanctuary Club

The Ultimate Chef Face-off and Model Grand Opening, sponsored by Jacobs Homes, will take place Saturday, April 5 and Sunday, April 6 at The Sanctuary Club, a new luxury single family home community set on the fairways of the Kemper Lakes Golf Course in Kildeer.

Two impeccably designed models will welcome prospective buyers into the furnished models and gourmet kitchens showcasing a full range of Viking and Wolf appliances. A professional chef from each manufacturer will create a tasting menu, offer cooking tips and give advice on the kitchen appliances for guests between 1 and 4 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday.

"We want our models to come alive for visitors so they can more fully experience what the Sanctuary lifestyle has to offer," said Keith Jacobs, president of Jacobs Homes.

The Sanctuary Club is an enclave of 62 exclusive single family residences bordering the fairways of Kemper Lakes Golf Course.

The Delphinia and Bergamot are two of six available floor plans that are being shown as furnished models.

The Delphinia is a beautiful, stately ranch with three bedrooms, 2½ baths, a three-car garage and 3,200 square feet of space.

The home's brick exterior holds a range of treasurers inside including a steam shower in the master chamber, two-story ceiling in the dining room and family room, custom sound system throughout -- including speakers on the veranda -- a two-story two-sided fireplace, Viking appliances, 42-inch maple cabinets, travertine marble in the kitchen with hand-scrapped oak flooring, a music room and a full basement. The Delphinia is priced at $1.25 million.

The 3,350-square-foot Bergamot is a two-story stunner with numerous upgrades and custom touches.

Highlights of this must-see model include a first-floor master suite, an upstairs family room, a conservatory, a kitchen outfitted with Wolf and Sub-Zero appliances --including a stove-top griddle ideal for Sunday brunch with friends -- 42-inch cherry cabinets and a copper hammered sink, butler's pantry with a wine cooler, an outdoor wood-burning fireplace on the terrace, a covered veranda, custom sound system throughout, cedar-shake roof, screened breakfast terrace, aggregate stone walk and driveway, three car garage and much more.

With all of its inclusions, the Bergamot is priced at $1.39 million.

Each of the residences at The Sanctuary Club offers architectural excellence, both inside and out. Designs have panoramic views of Kemper's brilliant greens, lush fairways and sparkling Kemper Lake. To heighten homeowners enjoyment of this pristine location, homes are designed with covered verandas, terraces, screened porches and courtyards.

As part of the April grand opening celebration Jacobs Homes invites the public to register in advance to attend the Ultimate Chef Face-Off by calling (847) 438-8158. The builder will donate $5 to Habitat for Humanity for each reservation taken.
