Leash and Collar schedules classes
Leash and Collar Dog Training will have a Post-Basic Obedience class starting at 8:45 p.m. April 2. It will be an Introduction to Rally Obedience. The Canine Good Citizen Course previously listed for that date will start April 28. These are held at 238 Saunders Road, Riverwoods. Call (847) 945-4544 to enroll and/or for information.
• Spot on K9s of South Elgin will hold a new agility session starting in mid-April. Included will be an introduction to agility, beginner and advanced group classes held in a fully-fenced, half-acre grass yard. Shows and Trials: Interlocking Shetland Sheepdog Club of Monee will hold a two-day Specialty April 4 and 5 in the Stone City Kennel Club Building, Cedar and Laraway roads, New Lenox. Included will be conformation, obedience and Puppy Sweeps.
• The Kennel Club of Yorkville will have shows and trials April 5 and 6 in the Convocation Center, Lincoln Highway and Annie Glidden Road, at the Northern Illinois University campus in DeKalb. Included on April 5 will be the Windy City Havanese Specialty and Illiana Schipperke Regional Specialty. April 6 will have regular judging plus the OFA Heart and OFA CERF clinics. Therapy group: Lyons Township Dog Training Club's therapy group, Ben's Friends, alternates visits between the British Home and Lexington Square and presents demonstrations for area schools and libraries.
