Algonquin
• A Carpentersville driver was arrested for traffic and drug offenses in Algonquin at 12:45 a.m. Sunday, police said. Jacob R. Brown, 23, of 8903 Sierra Woods, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane use, driving with one headlight, one tail light, no insurance and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, police said. Brown posted a $400 bond and was released. His next court date is on April 23 in Woodstock.
Elgin
• Police arrested a man Sunday who was wanted on an Elgin warrant issued in January. Anthony Willis, 40, homeless, was charged on the warrant with violation of the sex offender registration act, police said. Willis said in court Monday he was released from the Illinois Department of Corrections in January. He was unable to post a $20,000 bond and was taken to the Kane County jail. Willis is scheduled to appear in court on March 28 at the Kane County Judicial Center.
• Elgin police did a walk-through at the Days Inn, 1585 Dundee Ave. at 10 p.m. Friday, and a police dog indicated a possible use of drugs as it passed room 225. Police said they recovered three small rocks of crack cocaine and a smoking pipe from the purse of Misty S. Stubbs, 32, of 117 Tennyson Court, Elgin, who was inside the room. Stubbs was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to a police report. Stubbs was taken to the Kane County jail, where she posted a $500 bond. Her next court date is scheduled for April 7 at the Kane County Judicial Center.
• Two plasma television sets valued at $2,000 were stolen between 7:30 and 9:45 p.m. Sunday from a home on the 900 block of Adeline Drive. Police said all doors to the home were locked and there was no sign of forced entry.
West Dundee
Security officers at Target department store, 999 W. Main St., reported seeing a man stuff a number of video games in his sweat shirt Friday and leave the store. George Lopez, 32, of 494 E. Plum St., South Elgin, was arrested outside the store and charged with felony retail theft, according to a police report. Police said they found video games valued at $429.85 under his sweat shirt. Lopez was unable to post a $500 bond and remains in the Kane County jail. His next court date is on April 3 at the Kane County Judicial Center.
Kane County
• Truck windows valued at $800 were destroyed Thursday in the area of Richardson Street and Duncan Avenue in Dundee Township.
• Sixty dollars in fuel was stolen about 2:30 p.m. Sunday from BP, 125 Plank Road, Burlington Township.
