State shouldn't be in stadium business
We have one governor (Blagojevich) who wants to sell everything (lottery, tollway, Thompson Center and tollway building).
We have an ex- governor (Thompson) who wants to buy things (Cubs' Wrigley Field) for something called the Illinois Sports Authority.
Illinois has no business getting into running a private business. I cannot imagine what necessary government function the ISA performs unless it's another way for Thompson to get his name on another building or to add to his little fiefdom.
They should sell White Sox park and get rid of the ISA and all the governor's appointees.
