Bloomingdale museum showcases student art
For 25 years, artwork by students from area schools has been featured at the Bloomingdale Park District Museum, 108 S. Bloomingdale Road.
The Student Art Show returned this month, celebrating the silver anniversary of the event that provides a forum for the community to see student creations up close.
Through April 26, more than 200 pieces of artwork created by local students in kindergarten through high school will be on display. The exhibit is open from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays and noon to 4 p.m. Saturdays.
Fifteen area schools are participating, including Blackhawk Elementary School, Cloverdale Elementary School, DuJardin School, Elsie Johnson Elementary School, Erickson Elementary Schools, Glenbard North High School, Lake Park High School, Marquardt Middle School, St. Isidore School, St. Matthew, St. Walter School, Stratford Middle School, Waterbury Elementary School, Westfield Middle School and Winnebago Elementary School.
