Briefs: Students will be on Oprah

Third, fourth and fifth grade students and five faculty members from Anne Sullivan School in Prospect Heights will take part in an April 3 taping of the "The Oprah Winfrey Show" at Harpo Studios in Chicago. No air date has yet been announced. All of the 35 members of the school's South Asia Ambassadors Club will attend, according to Principal Debbie Gardiner. Last fall faculty members started the club under the auspices of Oprah's Angel Network and Free the Children. Ever since its founding, club members have been raising money to send to South Asia. They've also been educating their fellow students about life in that part of the world, which is the purpose of the nationwide program initiated by the two charitable groups.
