Learn how to sell on eBay

Jack Waddick, an eBay University instructor from Oakview Training, will present "Selling Your Stuff on eBay" at 2 p.m. March 26 at the Des Plaines Public Library, 1501 Ellinwood. No eBay experience is necessary. The program is free and advance registration is required.

Learn the basics of successful selling from setting up an account to pricing strategies to managing post-sale details. "Selling on eBay" is a quick start for would be entrepreneurs.

Quinn to speak at Green conference

Illinois Lieutenant Governor Pat Quinn will join speakers from local government and the corporate environment at the Green Business Conference and Luncheon, from noon to 3 p.m. March 28, at Oakton Community College, 1600 E. Hersey choirs score big at invitational

John Hersey High School's show choir OnStage captured the Grand Championship at Mundelein High School's Showchoir Invitational on March 8. OnStage also captured the "Best Vocals" award and the group's band/combo Backstage won "Best Combo." Senior Maggie Dewar was named outstanding soloist in a show.

Hersey's all-woman show choir, Ladies First, also captured the Grand Champion award in the women's division. Ladies First finished as the fourth runner-up in the finals.

Vanguard celebrates 10th

Vanguard School will celebrate its 10-year anniversary from 2 to 5 p.m. April 22 in the cafeteria at Forest View Education Center, 2121 S. Goebbert Road, Arlington Heights.
