Gender and race shouldn't be factors
After several readings of Ginger Marcuccelli's letter (Feb. 8), not encouraging, but rather ordering women to vote for Hillary Clinton merely because she is a woman, I am wondering about the author's thought processes.
Since when do we vote for a person based upon the presence or absence of the XX or XY chromosome?
Her statement about not caring what Hillary "has done in the past" is demeaning to the candidate.
However I feel that she reached the absolute epitome when, after saying, "it's a real shame women are so judgmental and critical of other women," she goes on to say that this makes her understand "why we are all idiots".
Thank you, Ginger, for your kind words.
You really know how to make a woman feel good about herself!
As for the election, each voter is entitled to make-up his or her own mind depending upon a candidate's qualifications, not his or her gender or race.
