Hanover Township offers area youth after school event

Hanover Township Youth and Family Services will offer its After School Program for third- through sixth-grade students at the Astor Avenue Community Center, 7431 Astor Ave., Hanover Park.

The final session of the 2007/2008 school year runs Monday through May 8, meeting from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Students can get help with homework, make new friends, and engage in positive, social and recreational activities. Supervision is provided by professional staff and a certified teacher.

The fee is $10 per student for the entire eight-week session, or $16 for two or more students in the same family. The program will not meet the week of March 24 due to spring break.
