Community High School District 94 has enacted several security measures after a possible threat of violence to West Chicago High School, school officials said Tuesday. Security measures effective today include, but are not limited to, the following: All students will be required to show a student ID to enter; students will not be allowed to bring any backpacks or purses into the building; all students and visitors will only be allowed through Entrance H; no off-campus lunches will be allowed; all off-campus classes are canceled; all visitors will have to sign in, show a photo ID and meet with the Assistant Principal or Dean of students before given permission to enter the building, officials said in a release posted on the district Web site. A $2,500 reward is offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of parties involved. Parents who would like to excuse their child from classes are asked to call the attendance line at (630) 876œ6336.
