Violinist performs on Wednesday
Prospect High School junior violinist Evelyn O'Connell will perform "Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso" by Camille Saint-Saens with the 214 Honors Orchestra at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Forest View Educational Center Field House, 2121 S. Goebbert Road, Arlington Heights.

Three new events at Arts Unlimited
High School District 214 Arts Unlimited celebration includes three new events, all held at Forest View Educational Center in Arlington Heights. Thirty students from the six buildings will be invited to participate in each event.
Creative Writing Day will be Friday, featuring Marc Smith, founder of the Poetry Slam movement. He will also give a presentation at Rolling Meadows High School at 9:30 a.m. Thursday.
Visual Arts Day on March 11 will feature a series of painting, drawing, and sculpture workshops, presented by local artists.
Film and Photography Day will be April 18, featuring Chicago Sun-Times photojournalist Jon Sall.

Band to present spring concert
The Mount Prospect Community Band will perform a spring concert, titled "World Music Celebration," at 2 p.m. Sunday at Forest View Educational Center, 2121 S. Goebbert Road, Arlington Heights.
