Judson signs several new athletes
Continuing to build for a championship program, Judson University cross country coach Rich Weinhandl has added Ethan Hahn and Kyle Bricka to the team for the 2008 season. Weinhandl now has three top runners signed for next season including DeKalb's Matt DeBall.
"These two runners will be a great addition to the program. They will bring a lot of talent and enthusiasm to Judson. They will both be counted on to help lead this new program," said Weinhandl.
Hahn, coming from Lakes Community High School, is an all-conference selection in cross country. This past season he was a sectional qualifier and had a best time of 16:16 in the 3-mile run.
Coming from Hampshire High School is Bricka. He has improved his times each year and has a best of 17:42 in the 3-mile. He also participates in track and field.
Dean to run at Judson: Looking to build a championship program for the Judson women's cross country team, coach Rich Weinhandl has signed his first recruit for the 2008 season. Rachel Dean has become the first female to sign with the Eagles.
"I can't think of a better first signee for this historic moment of Judson's first female cross country team. Rachel not only brings an enormous amount of talent but also she brings a leadership that will be heavily counted on," said Weinhandl.
Dean is coming to Judson from Lakes Community High School and was a teammate to Judson men's signee Ethan Hahn. Dean qualified for the state cross country meet this past fall and has a best time of 18:08 in the 3-mile.
