Bears, Clark agree on 2-year extension

Chicago Bears tight end Desmond Clark agreed Sunday to a two-year contract extension through the 2010 season with the team.

Over the past two years, Clark has averaged 13.2 yards per catch - most among NFL tight ends.

He was third on the team with 44 receptions for 545 yards and 4 touchdowns last season, giving him 15 in five years with Chicago - second to Mike Ditka (34).

The extension for Clark, who has 262 catches for 3,067 yards and 24 touchdowns in nine seasons, came one day after the Bears re-signed quarterback Rex Grossman to a one-year contract.
