Khabibulin sidelined by back spasms
The Blackhawks won't have goalie Nikolai Khabibulin when they take on the Los Angeles Kings today at Staples Center.
Khabibulin suffered back spasms Friday and likely will miss Sunday's game at Anaheim as well.
Patrick Lalime starts today against the Kings with Corey Crawford serving as backup. Crawford was recalled from Rockford on Friday.
Khabibulin was coming off one of his better games of the season, Wednesday's 3-0 shutout of Minnesota. It was his first game back on the ice since a knee sprain forced him to miss three games.
The Hawks had hoped to ride Khabibulin's hot hand through the weekend.
